The process to preserve and enhance a deck depends on its condition, previous coatings, and the desired finish. At Electrodry, we tailor our approach with three specialised restoration services. Whether your deck needs routine maintenance, a refresh, or significant repairs, our expert team will deliver results that impress.
Ideal for decks with a moderate amount of weathering.
Ideal for decks where with a small amount of paint flaking or boards have become weathered without being damaged.
For heavily weather, stained and warped timber decks or where board replacement is required.
If it’s raining on the date of your job, and the area isn’t under cover, we’ll need to stop working until the rain finishes. If it rains within 24 hours of the work being completed, the coating will usually be OK, however in some circumstances a small water mark may be visible. If there is a water mark, we can return and apply an additional coat at a reduced cost.
The timeline for deck restoration work can be impacted by weather. Whilst we’ll do everything we can to complete your job on a specific date, the impact of rain may affect the timeline by delaying previous jobs. If date of your job changes, we’ll provide as much notice as possible.
We recommend staying off the coating for at least 24 hours to allow it to dry. For Shaded areas, we recommend that you don’t replace furniture for 48 – 72 hours as the coating may still be tacky.
The result of a deck restore service will vary depending on the condition of the deck and the existing coat. Weathered timber, exposed timber or areas with minimal coating may result in colour variations.
For a deck restore we will either lightly sand the coating or use a brush sander (brushes underneath an orbital sander) to remove the flaking, damaged or undesired coating. The cost for this service will vary from job to job.
A complete sand is usually only required when the deck has suffered from serious staining or the boards have become warped or broken.
