Electro-Shield was recently released, providing long-lasting sanitization for up to 4 months. Most sanitizing agents lose effectiveness mere minutes after application while Electro-Shield will continue to sanitize until it wears away.
Is Electro-Shield effective against viruses? Recent international laboratory testing indicated Electro-Shield is excellent at combating viruses, achieving an anti-viral effectivity rate of 99.4%.
Our Newcastle team don’t believe in a ‘one size fits all’ approach. Different fabrics need different approaches, because some kinds of material are more easily stained or damaged. Here’s what we do:
For these fabrics we have to be very careful. Natural fabrics like cotton and linen are quite delicate, and white fabrics generally cannot be cleaned using hot water extraction, because high water volume is likely to cause cellulosic browning, or water marks. Instead, we use a dry cleaning solution to get rid of grease, dirt and grime without using water. It is more difficult to remove stains without the hot water extraction, but white cottons and linens require a more gentle approach.

These fabrics are generally a bit more durable then white cottons and linens, and thus we can use hot water extraction. However, with coloured fabrics we need to take steps to avoid dye migration, or colour bleeding. There is also still a risk of watermarks. To avoid this, these fabrics require some preparation. First, we treat the upholstery with dry-cleaning solution, breaking down body oils and residue. Then we apply a conditioning spray which stabilises the colours and prevents the browning of watermarks. Next, our technicians treat the lounge with a neutral cleaning solution infused with Healthguard, in order to get rid of mould and germs. Lastly, do a hot water extraction clean, flushing out all the dirt and contaminants.

Our Electrodry technicians will first use a neutral pre-spray to dissolve grease and body oils. Then, they use a water emulsified dry-cleaning solution to remove grime in heavily stained or soiled areas. Finally your lounge is rinsed with a hot water extraction clean, leaving your upholstery looking good.
