Electrodry’s carpet dry cleaning process is unlike any other because we don’t use any excessive chemicals, water, or heat to get the best carpet cleaning results. We can maintain your carpet’s integrity while also breaking down grease and oils that allow dirt to cling to your carpet’s fibres.
Did you know that a traditional steam clean uses between 10 and 50 litres of water per room? That’s a lot of water being pumped into your carpets, and if the technician doesn’t extract it properly, that much moisture is both unhealthy for you and damaging to your carpet.
That amount of water can also mean drying times of 24 hours or longer.
Our dry cleaning method uses significantly less water (90% less, actually!), meaning drier carpets and much quicker drying times. Electrodry’s cleaning solutions and technology break down the oily stains that dirt and grime attach to, with the dirt lifted during a conditioning rinse. This gives you a pristinely clean carpet with no chemical residue or large amounts of water left behind.
Even if you’re diligent with regular vacuuming of your carpets, most home vacuums don’t have the power and cleaning products the strength to get truly amazing and thorough results.
Over time, oily spots appear on the most clean of carpets, and dirt and grime attach themselves to those oils. Home products aren’t able to break those oils down, which means your carpet never really gets properly clean. Frustrating, we know!
That’s why we are so proud of what our products are able to do. Electrodry’s exclusive dry cleaning system removes more stains than other cleaning processes, using minimal heat and water in the process. This means your carpets won’t shrink or stretch, which will help maintain their integrity and longevity. Best of all, you can rest assured that your carpets have been treated by the best in the business.
The process of carpet dry cleaning is very thorough. First, the surface area must be vacuumed to remove any dirt or moisture from within its fibres. From there, solvents are applied before cotton pads spin on top of your carpets, directly removing dirt and stains. The main benefit of this process is that it is walk on dry immediately and only takes 1-2 hours to fully dry.
On the other hand, steam cleaning works by injecting water into the carpet fibres under high pressure. All the dirt and grime are then extracted with specialised equipment that uses hot water instead air as most vacuums do. The drying process takes about six or twelve hours depending on things such as the type of carpet and the temperature of the room.
Vacuuming your carpet is very similar to changing the oil in your car. It is an integral part of regular maintenance and keeping everything in pristine condition. Furthermore, the life span of your carpet can be significantly increased if you clean and vacuum it regularly. Vacuuming removes the soil which damages the fibres, keeping your carpets cleaner for longer. This in turn increases the overall life span of the carpet.
Keeping your carpets clean is a difficult task that even the most devoted parent will find challenging. Regardless if you establish strict rules about not eating or playing in certain rooms, spills and stains are bound to happen. The following tips can help keep your carpet stain free:
Buy some area rugs - Area rugs are perfect for protecting your carpet from spills and stains. They come in all shapes, and sizes, as well as colours and, are a great option for protecting your carpet from our little angels.
Block off carpeted areas - If you are looking for ways to keep your child away from certain areas of the house, furniture is a great option. A few strategically placed pieces will drive your kids away from the area. Problem solved!
Consider buying a stain-resistant carpet - If you're looking for a way to keep your carpets clean and stain-free, consider buying a stain-resistant carpet. The specially engineered fibres work by preventing substances from bonding with the fabric which helps to keep your carpet stain free!
Use carpet squares - Carpet squares are relatively inexpensive, which means you can easily replace them if one becomes stained or damaged. This makes them perfect for use around small children.
Spill-proof cups - If you're tired of constantly cleaning up after your toddler, then it's time to invest in spill-proof cups. Be sure and buy several cups so they never have an accident while the others are being washed.
Coffee quickly penetrates into the carpet fibres and even if you act quickly to clean up the spill, it can still leave a stain. If a coffee stain sits for too long, it can be very difficult to remove once it seeps into the carpet fibres and the backing of your carpet.
The professional carpet cleaners at Electrodry normally use spot-cleaning methods on coffee stains to make them easier to remove during the dry cleaning process. Although we're confident in our ability to remove coffee stains, there are some instances where we cannot guarantee stain removal. Things such as the type and age of the carpet will affect how easy it will be to clean the carpet and whether the coffee stain can be successfully removed.
We can only move beds and lounges/sofas from side to side if they are on wheels or casters. Anything heavy such as wall units you can leave in its place and we’ll work around them. We just ask that you move smaller items such as chairs, coffee tables or pot plants. It is especially important to remove things such as toys, books and stationery, coins or any other small objects that may get sucked up during the vacuuming process. Your carpet cleaning technician will have a limited timeframe to work on your carpet so clearing up any mess or small objects beforehand keeps things moving.
