Electrodry Carpet Cleaning Ormeau’s superior clean doesn’t use excessive chemicals, water, or heat to treat your carpet. We pride ourselves in maintaining the integrity of your carpet while successfully breaking down the grease and body oils that cause the dirt to stick to the fibres.
We start with a good vacuum, getting rid of dirt, and opening the carpet fibres for a more effective clean.
Next, we treat stains with an appropriate dry cleaning solution. These break down oils and grease, and loosen the stain for easy removal.
We use our dry cleaning machine to apply a conditioning rinse, using clean cotton pads. These lift dirt and stains, and treat the carpet with Electro-Shield.
The last thing we do is groom the carpet with a carpet rake, to open the fibres and help them dry without streak lines.
Professional carpet cleaning can be done in a few different ways. The two most common methods are steam cleaning (or hot water extraction) and dry cleaning. The main difference is that steam cleaning uses a lot of water! The steam cleaning method works by injecting 10 to 50 litres of heated water into the carpet, and then extracting the dirt and water with a powerful vacuum. This method leaves the carpet very wet, taking at least 4-6 hours to dry and sometimes much longer.
Dry cleaning uses very little water by contrast. This method works by treating stains with Electrodry’s exclusive dry cleaning solutions. These break down the oils binding dirt to the carpet fibres, effectively dissolving stains. The dirt and stains are then lifted during the conditioning rinse, which is applied using soft cotton pads. Our process leaves your carpet dry enough to walk on, and it should be completely dry within an hour.
Our carpet cleaning method is effective, thorough and safe. This means we won’t damage or discolour your carpets, and you won’t experience any shrinking or warping.
It is not necessary for you to be at home while we clean your carpet as our carpet cleaning technicians are highly trained professionals you can trust. However, in order for us to provide a thorough and professional job, we recommend always having somebody present before we commence our cleaning process who can answer any questions or address unusual needs you might have about your carpet.
When you need your carpets cleaned and dried quickly, dry cleaning is the best option. Carpet dry cleaning uses special powders or chemicals that are applied with water and pushed into the fibres of the carpet until all dirt has been removed from it so they can be ready for foot traffic as soon as possible. A rotating brush works to get rid of any excess powder while an extraction tool removes what’s left behind. This traps more particles within its bristles which will then fall out during washing cycles due to natural shedding.
Typically, professional carpet cleaning services conduct spot cleaning on tough stains so that they are more easily removed during the steam or dry cleaning process. However, while our team is confident in their ability to remove most stains, there are some instances where we cannot guarantee stain removal. Things such as the type of carpet, the age of the stain, the nature of the stain and certain other factors can make it difficult to completely remove the stain.
A good rule of thumb is to have your carpet professionally cleaned at least once a year. However, if you have children or pets, your carpets will more than likely get dirtier a lot quicker. If this sounds like you, then you may want to consider having your carpets cleaned at least twice a year. This way you get a good, deep clean and don’t let the dirt and gunk build up to a point where it becomes unmanageable. However, don‘t forget to vacuum once or twice a week to keep it clean in between having your carpet professionally cleaned.
Our professional carpet cleaners are trained for safety and have access to the latest and most effective cleaning products and solutions. Homeowners can feel confident that their carpets, children and pets will be completely safe with our cleaning products, particularly when completely dry.
