To remove mattress odours caused by human urine, common household items such as white vinegar, baking soda, or hydrogen peroxide can be effective. However, for older or larger stains, it is recommended to seek professional assistance for proper and thorough cleaning.
To deep clean a yellowed mattress, follow these steps:
Remove all bedding and vacuum the mattress thoroughly to remove any loose dust or dirt.
Mix equal parts baking soda and water to create a paste. Use a soft-bristled brush to apply the paste to any stains on the mattress. Allow the paste to dry for several hours.
Spray the mattress with an enzyme cleaner to help break down any remaining stains and odours. Allow the cleaner to sit for the recommended amount of time according to the product instructions.
